Position Title: High School Programs Coordination/Instructor
Reports to: Director of Programs
Status: Full time throughout the year, 37.5 hours per week

Summary of job:
The High School Programs Coordination/Instructor has a variety of responsibilities under the umbrella of basic adult education programs for adults without a high school diploma. The programs include: GED classes, the Adult Diploma Program and the GED distance learning program. Day and evening hours are required as needed. Travel is necessary (mileage is reimbursed).
Responsibilities:
¨ Career Link ABE/GED class
· Student pre and post assessments
· Class instruction
· Computer lab assistance for Work Keys remediation
¨ ADP program (an independent learning program)
· Student pre and post assessments
· Student seminars
· Mentoring of ADP students
· Curriculum development
· Supervision and training of two ADP assessors
¨ GED distance learning
· Student pre and post assessments
· Mentoring of distance learning students
· Coordination with distance learning center
¨ GED classes (3 evening classes at Bucks County high schools)
· Hiring, training and supervision of 3 GED instructors
· Curriculum development
· Performance reviews of staff
¨ Monitoring of data collection to meet performance standards
¨ Participation in state training and staff meetings
¨ Execution of other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
¨ Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in education
¨ Master teacher with experience in adult education, particularly GED
¨ Supervisory experience
¨ Knowledge of assessments and interviewing techniques
¨ Strong communication and organizational skills
¨ Ability to lead staff and develop programs
¨ Maturity and sensitivity in working with diverse populations
