SpellCheck LIVE!!

        "The Wholly Spellers" Take All at SpellCheck Live!!

   Making their debut at "SpellCheck Live!!" turned out to be a
   charm for "The Wholly Spellers" of St. Andrew's Church,
   Yardley. The team beat eleven other teams to take first
   place by spelling  "percutaneous" correctly.

   Team members are Matthew Rauen, Alexia Rauen and Jay
   Johnston.  Matthew and Alexia are students at Pennwood
   Middle School. Jay is an attorney with Dechert LLP in
   Philadelphia. 

   Congratulations and thanks to all for making SpellCheck
   Live!! a great event!

   Standing at left is John Shanken-Kaye, pronouncer.
   Judges were Karen Dawkins, Dean of Student
   Affairs,   Bucks County Community College; Joan
   Bowman,  Board of Directors, Bucks County Free
   Library; and  Bill Katz, retired principal, Pennsbury
   East High School.

   Trumpeter Nelson Klein's fanfares accompanied the
   team processional to the stage. 

   Celtic harpist Katie Brennan provided music during
   the  reception.
