Literacy Tutor Resources

Adult Basic Education (ABE) tutors support our native speakers who are assessed at Beginning Literacy, Beginning ABE, and Low Intermediate ABE through one-on-one tutoring and small groups. Tutors provide individual attention and programming specific to the skill level of the students.

English as a Second Language (ESL) tutors work with adults for whom English is not a first language and who wish to improve conversational and written English.  The ESL tutoring program is focused on small group instruction from beginning to advanced levels.

Here ABE and ESL tutors can find a wealth of information and resources to support these efforts. Explore activities for ESL and ABE students that you can print and use as handouts. Check out interesting and helpful websites. ABE tutors can find out more about the GED test and Vita’s GED preparation claasses. ABE and ESL Group tutors can print monthly Class Attendance forms and one-on-one tutors can complete and submit their monthly reports on-line.

To contact your tutor coordinator with questions or concerns, email Kathleen O’Leary (ESL – Lower Bucks) at, Amy Forsberg (ESL – Central & Upper Bucks) at  or Kathy White (ABE) at
